The Maya don't use "24 hours" as their definition for days, and don't use "365 days" as their definition for year, so there would be no leap days, so NO, it should not have actually happened years ago.

The Mayan calendar didn't include leap days because the number of days in their years were whole numbers. The only reason WE have them is to keep our calendar synced up with the Earth's orbit around the sun.
I imagine whoever did the math in translating the Mayan calendar to our system was smart enough to take into account that our years are actually 365.25 days long.

I just read an article about the mayan calendar and it explains that the oldest mayan calendar has been discovered in the ancient Mayan city of Xultun in northeast Guatemala. They have discovered that the Mayan calendar expands well past 12/21/2012. You can interprate the information how you like but I agree that the world will not end on that date.

What happened to your google account or else? I've tried to open the google doc from a couple of your videos and it redirections me to a page that says "This account does not longer exists".
