This footage is from the George Eastman House collections. Preservation was completed by the museum's Motion Picture Department, a project of Sabrina Negri, a student in Eastman House's L. Jeffrey
Selznick School of Film Preservation and a recipient of the Haghefilm Foundation Fellowship.

Even for the most difficult scenes, and there are difficult scenes in the film, and because Michael Haneke is such a great film-maker - I think a great film-maker is not only being inspired, but how to do it, how to make it as real as possible, knowing that it's not real.

ok.. how can i say this.. My comment said the whole world was black and white.. this is obviously not true and therefore irony/sarcasm. You read my comment as "All pictures were black and white back then." But that is not what I wrote. If you passed 2nd grade reading comprehension you'd know that.

It's remotely possible, but not very likely. This was 90 years ago. So she'd be in her mid 90s if she were (since she looks around 5 here).

Breathtakingly beautiful. Never ceases to amaze me what the dimension of color can add to a film. We're so used to seeing this period in black and white, it's startling just to see a few clips in color.
