I haven't confirmed it yet (I still have to re-tune my guitar to that tuning to try it out... cursed Open Csus4) but the sheet music says the verse rhythm continues during the solo, so I'm guessing he plays the verse but adding the notes from the solo to the chords he played before (changing the strings in which they are played when necessary).
It's just a guess but I guess it would be worth to try it (I intend to do it sometime anyway).

Hadn't noticed that 12 strings part 'till now... Why the hell does every song I come to love have to be played in guitars with additional strings I just don't have?
Anyway, the music sheet has been released on their site for free with these two songs plus "Mother I'm Here" and "The Pantheon". I guess the hard part on getting the same sound might be because of the tuning of the guitar (Open Csus4 - which is C G C F G C).
Cursed weird alternate tunings!
