It's very nice to see a woman who has a passion for firearms and is knowledgeable about the subject. We need more women interested in firearms.

Being a former hunting guide & life long hunter... with two college age girls to worry about. One very over-looked gun in rifle or handgun .is the 22magnum. Much better accuracy/ range/ power than the standard 22 lr. and very easy to control. The round will drop coyotes & small deer up to 100 yards (Ive done it). But accurate enough to take the head off a grouse/ pheasant/quail will zero meat damage. (most important). Im getting them 22mag deringers for carry weapons.

I didn't personally like the PF9. It was snappier than other 9mms I've shot and the grip was too big for my hands

Last Friday she finally tried the LCR---and she really liked it (in .38 of course---when I shot it in .357, it set off a car alarm). I saw the Ruger LC9. I'm guessing it's gonna be as snappy as the PF9, but I think my wife would appreciate all of the safety features on it (thumb safety, magazine safety, ridiculous loaded chamber indicator, et cetera). Ever tried your hand on an LC9?
Loved this video. ... ( 3 weeks ago by Internetjunkey)
Loved this video. We have put our guns in a similar groupings too. I have tiny tiny hands and we finally found a good gun for me. I went with the M&P 9mm Compact. For home defense conceal carry and practice. Just just added an AK to our collection. Thanks for the info! This was amazing. You seem like you'd be fun to shoot with!!

I definitely think females should start out with .22 to .38 caliber hand guns. For rifles the AR-15 I think is a good choice for starters. Once they are comfortable enough about it then they can upgrade it to larger caliber. Either way this women in the video has more guns than me!!! Impressive...

Awesome tips for ... ( 3 weeks ago by Sciberius)
Awesome tips for beginners of any kind. Coming from a woman's point of view, I think, only makes it more informational for beginners. Being an old infantry Marine I can tell you that you have a very accomplished explanation of how to properly pick a gun for its purpose and fit for the individual user. I really appreciate the grip/forearm alignment tip you gave, should really help them be more accurate. One thing about your shooting tho, you anticipated some of those shots, making them "snappy."

no difference between the walking dead and looters after a hurricane. Zombies is just a politically correct term for the woefully unprepared.
My right hand was ... ( 3 weeks ago by Sciberius)
My right hand was crushed during a construction accident. Learning to be completely left handed was a challenge. Learning to rack an automatic with my right forearm was really painful. I can easily rack my daughter's P-22 with my forearm and place all 10 rounds into the bullseye at 50 feet, but I am no longer capable of even racking the Glock 17 without tearing the meat off my forearm. I did figure out how to use my belt to rack, but I am unable to gangsta more than 3 or 4 hits in the kill zone.

I agree with Casper.
The whole "loaded firearm pointed at your chest" thing seems kind of sketchy.

The first gun I learned to shoot and the only gun I have shot is the Glock 22 which shoots .40 caliber rounds. While I had great grouping on the target it of course is way too big for my hands.I found it hard to reach all the mechanics that I need to when reloading, and while I could control the gun the recoil was a bit much on my hands. Im finally looking to purchase something of my own and I love Glock. Im looking to test the G26 and the G27. Are you acquainted with these and your thoughts?

Nice selection of guns. IMO if the SHTF all small game will be gone in a couple of weeks. Lizards and rats will be gone soon after.
BTW you were wise to disable comments on your holster videos. I enjoyed those more than I should have :)

thanks for such an informative overview of first handgun purchase-it really helped me see the pros and cons of the different ones out there! as a woman new to the world of CC, i have watched several of your videos, and think they are excellent!! feel like i'm taking a personal gun instruction class. Thanks so much! Btw, could you do a video on how you secure your guns in your home-ie do you have a gun safe, keep one in your nightstand, etc.

I think you did a great job making this video. I'v been shooting my hole life started in the early 70s. And now I'm training my girlfriend how to shoot. She's quite a shot with the Ruger 10-22, and today was her first day shooting pistol.I little nervous in the beginning, but 2 or 3 mags later, the 380 in her hand was working like a well oiled machine.I'm certain she could shoot a toad's eye out in mid flight, with a little more practice.your videos are a inspiration for woman. Great job!!
