Obama doesn't have the power to make same-sex marriage legal. How may people are there who didn't think Obama supported Gay Marriage already? Theres no easy answer to the problem b/c people & nations have been living beyond their means for decades amassing debt & entitlements that cannot be sustained with aging populations. Now the chickens come home to roust. The credit line of many nations R maxed out & the young cannot support entitlements the baby boomer generation demands.

Sooner or later Obama will be forced to defend R economy,nothing can save him from that! He'll have to make a case to millions of why this economy is worthy of 4 more yrs from him. The people will not accept "I support gay marriage" answer to a question about no jobs. Too many R searching for real hope for tomorrow. Largest economy in the world is US. Or gov. currently more than 14 trillion N debt & that to go to 25 trillion by 2020. Paying interest on that will cost more than what is now spent on national defense . For yrs weve been IMPORTING hundreds of billions more $ in goods & services than EXPORT. The trade imbalance averaged over 900 billion a yr. Trillions of US $'s are now in the hands of foreign investors who @ any time could dump the $ causing a devaluation of the currency.

Big institutions couldn't pay debts b/c of downturns & went bankrupt or declared to-big-to-fail & was bailed. We took on that debt hoping corporations would regain value. It got so bad since 08 most won't lend $ on commercial ventures, stead they gamble on markets or sit on the $'$ ! Nobody lends on development b/c of fear they won't get paid back. Business that could expand won't b/c fear of higher costs in the future through govt taxation,regulation. A reason for high unemployment.

The coming economic crash caused by world debt is @ a point in Europe where there will either be full fledged debt write down that will bring a full depression or where govt prints more $ for bank bailouts causing hyperinflation. When? Hard to say, its out of our control & makes little difference anyway. Either path will bring worst living standards in our times to most of developed world. And this guy wants to make Gay Marriage his priority. He wants the $, & the votes of these people .

I am proud of our President. He and the First Lady have done so much to help Veteran's and Military Families and continue to make those issues one of their top priorities. I am a widow of a Vietnam vet and i would like to see our soldiers come home from Afghanistan like most of them have come home from Iraq. We are getting closer to that and I am grateful President Obama is prioritizing the needs of these vets.
